Sri Medical Science and Pharmacy College (SMPC), located in the serene setting of Komand, Nayagarh, was established with the primary goal of offering unparalleled pharmacy education and medical laboratory training to meet the evolving needs of healthcare professions. Since its inception in 2023, SMPC has emerged as a pioneering institution, introducing both the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) in the Komand area of Nayagarh District.
The college operates under the auspices of the Sikshya Bharati Charitable Trust, guided by the visionary leadership of Chairman Dr. Srinibash Subudhi and the youthful energy of Vice Chairman Mr. Bhaibhav Subudhi. SMPC is recognized by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Government of Odisha, and affiliated with the Odisha State Board of Pharmacy (OSBP). It is further approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.
Offering a diploma in pharmacy with an annual intake of 60 students and a diploma in medical laboratory technology with 40 students, SMPC is strategically located on the Bhubaneswar- Bhanjanagar state highway, ensuring easy accessibility through both private and public bus services. Its proximity to the Raghunath Temple, a well-known tourist destination in Odagaon, Nayagarh, adds to its appeal. The campus is also affiliated with District Headquarters Hospital, Nayagarh, for practical training, enhancing the real-world learning experience of its students.
As the first PCI-approved pharmacy institute in Nayagarh District, SMPC is dedicated to empowering rural students, offering them quality education in the pharmaceutical and medical laboratory fields.
